F.K.M.Gesellschaft zur Freiwilligen Kontrolle von Messe und Ausstellungsahlen, is a German organization for the voluntary review of statistics related to Exhibitions and has been active since 1965.
Aim of F.K.M.
Is to encourage the maximum transparency and accuracy of Exhibition statistics, which are presented in a clear, precise format and are certified as true. Exhibition Authorities can report data on single Exhibitions only after certification by independent auditors.
What does the F.K.M. Certification mean?
It guarantees that Veronafiere has submitted its results not only to the Italian Minister of Productive Activities, but also to an independent auditor, F.K.M. (no other Exhibition Centre in Italy is certified by F.K.M.).
By adopting the FKM system, which includes two different types of data, Veronafiere publishes reliable:
- quantitative data (the number of exhibitors and visitors, the exhibition area available and the breakdown of both domestic and overseas figures) and
- qualitative figures (in the form of direct feedback from both Italian visitors and visitors from abroad).
The transparency, clarity and accuracy of the data means exhibitors can rely on the published figures, and make their marketing plans accordingly. This is particularly important for foreign and other European exhibitors.
