Stone in Puglia

Domenico Potenza Promoted by the Region Puglia, this exhibition illustrates recent works of architecture which best express the relationship between history, tradition and contemporary innovation in the use of stone materials from Puglia. The event opens with an introductory section detailing the stone production areas in the region and then illustrates the use of these materials in quality architectural projects with detailed reference to the new culture of stone used in tectonic terms. This context also includes a special event dedicated to Alessandro Anselmi, the designer of Parabita Cemetery forty years after the development of first contemporary work in structural stone from Puglia.
