Denis Santachiara with MARMI GHIRARDI

His first works, between design and art, were exhibited at the Venice Biennial, Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara and the Milan Triennial. He was the curator of shows and set-ups in Lyons, Milan, Paris and Amsterdam. He won the Gold Compass Award in 1986. In 1999, he won the Good Design Award and in 2000 the Design World Award.
His works are included in the permanent collections of some of the most important museums, such as MoMA in NewYork, Musée des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
He has developed projects for the Certosa of Avignon, the French Ministry of Culture and the Art Hotel in Dresden.
He has consulted for B&B, Luceplan Artemide, Swatch, Mandarina Duck, Rosenthal, Panasonic, Domodinamica, Vitra, Campeggi, Superga, De Padua, Foscarini, Serralunga, Magis and Fontana Arte.
In academic spheres, he has given conference and seminars and is Professor for the Degree Course in Industrial Design at IUAV University, Venice.
