Michele De Lucchi with PIBAMARMI

Michele De Lucchi took a degree in architecture in Florence and was among the protagonists of avante-garde movements such as Alchymia and Memphis. He has developed designs for Artemide, Kartell, Mandarina Duck, Rosenthal, Sambonet, Alias, Caimi Patents, Unifor, Dada, Moroso and Poltrona Frau. Between 1992 and 2002 he was design director at Olivetti.
He has coordinated experimental projects for Compaq, Philips, Siemens and Vitra. He has designed projects in Japan for NTT, in Germany for Deutsche Bank, in Switzerland for Novartis and in Italy for Enel, Telecom Italia, Banca Intesa, Poste Italiane and Piaggio. He designs set-ups for art and design shows for the Milan Triennial and the Neues Museum in Berlin. Current projects include: restructuring of the Cini Foundation in Venice and renovation of the Castello Sforzesco Museums in Milan.
He exhibits in the most important museums in Europe, the United States and Japan. He has received numerous international awards for his work. In 2001, he was appointed Professor at IUAV University in Venice.
