Roberto Canovaro with MARMO ARREDO

The Roberto L. Canovaro Architecture and Design Studio was founded in Venice in 1983.
After numerous design experiences in Italy and abroad, in particular in the Arab Emirates and the United States, his activity now essentially focuses on the hotel sector, major renovation projects and consulting for new applications.
His most recent works, especially in Venice, include the restructuring of Hotel Bauer, the development of Hotel Ca’ Pisani - the first Italian hotel design to earn huge international success – and Hotel dei Dragomanni overlooking the Grand Canal. At Castellammare di Stabia, Canovaro Studio, on the other hand, recovered an example of industrial archaeology to develop the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Current projects include the development of the new Cristal Palace at Madonna di Campiglio and, once again in Venice, the restyling and restructuring of the historic Hotel Saturnia and the adaptation and refurbishing of Ca’ Sagredo, an important palace on the Grand Canal with frescoes by Sebastiano Ricci and Pietro Longhi, now turned into a luxury hotel.
Roberto Canovaro has also also enjoyed a long-standing and rewarding collaboration relationship with the Marmoarredo Group based in Padova, focusing on combining the value of traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde technology.
