Marmomacc 2009: astonishing numbers and no signs of setbacks for the event

Marmomacc confirms its status, once again this year, as the most important event in the world dedicated to marble and natural stone, as well as design and dedicated technologies.
The Exhibition is the key event for the natural stone system (and last year attracted more than 63 thousand visitors, 27 thousand of whom international) promoting the development of products and technologies; it is also an increasingly qualified cultural workshop for comparison of new trends world-wide in construction and design with stone.
More than 1.500 exhibitors will take part from Italy and 54 other countries, animating more than 75 thousand sq.m. of net exhibition area for the 44th Marmomacc that will use all the halls of the last edition as well as the new and truly modern Hall 1 which was renovated recently.
Marmomacc, this year, will facilitate trade operators even more through its new dates, with the elimination of Sunday and advance opening on Wednesday: the inauguration will therefore take place 30 September and closure on 3 October. Operators and visitors can register or purchase tickets on-line through the site www.marmomacc.it/
This edition will also welcome important international group attendance: Argentina (Hall 7B), Belgium (Hall 9); 9), Brazil (Hall 10, Hall 7B and Hall 3), China (2nd Floor - Palaexpo), Croatia (Hall 11), Egypt (Hall 7B and Area D), France (Hall 11), Jordan (Hall 11), India (Hall 9), Iran (Hall 11 and outside area 8), Pakistan (Hall 11), Portugal (Hall 11 and Hall 3), Spain (Hall 7B, Hall 3 and Area D), Taiwan (2nd Floor - Palaexpo) and Turkey (Hall 9.3, 7 and Areas D and C).
The calendar of conventions and seminars is as impressive as ever and will also be joined at this edition by continual training courses, technical seminars and programmes for architects.
Marmomacc thereby confirms its standing as the largest showcase in the world, highlighting - on the one hand - major national and international production traditions and - on the other - the most advanced technological innovations in the sector, as well as playing a front-line role in the stimulating cultural debate focusing on this world involving internationally famous engineers, architects and designers.
